All three readings today speak of the expansive and universal nature of the “Kingdom of God,” in contrast with the theory that salvation was to be offered first to the Jews and then, through them alone, to the rest of the world. Although God set the Hebrew people apart as His chosen race, He included all nations in His plan for salvation and blessed all the families of the earth in Abraham (Gn 12:1-3). Jesus demonstrates that salvation was meant for the Gentiles as well as for the Jews by healing the daughter of a Gentile woman as a reward for her strong Faith. Thus, Jesus shows us that God’s mercy and love are available to all who call out to Him in Faith. The Canaanite call out and declare who Jesus is; she prostrated herself at Jesus’ feet and did not turn away and pleading to Jesus for her daughter. This is a great example of all Catholics need to do.
REMINDER OF OUR PARISH ACTIVITIES:
- Faith Formation Orientation for all those who have registered for coming year Faith Formation is this week. All begins at 7PM as follow: (1) Monday for Elementary Faith Formation; (2) Tuesday for all preparing for Sacrament of Reconciliation and Eucharist; (3) Wednesday for all grades from 7th through 12th which include Edge, Life Teen, Confirmation, and Sponsors of Confirmation; and *4) those who are children and adults in the OCIA process for first and second year. Remember: this orientation if for all families who have registered their Faith Formation. Families who have not must follow the process later by contacting the parish.
- There will be NO GOSPEL REFLECTION THIS WEDNESDAY DUE TO THE ORIENTATION OF FAITH FORMATION.
- Pictorial Directory ~ we have added another day for those who have not sign up and need it in the evening. Please register online. The additional day is on Monday September 28th from 2PM till 8:30PM. We will contact those who have not registered and do not participate will need to send us a family photo for Parish Administration. Please send to [email protected] at the moment.
- Annual Parish Festival is underway and invite all parish members to come to the Parish Festival on Saturday September 26 from 2PM till 9PM. This Saturday of Festival will have only bilingual mass at 5PM and there will be NO 7PM Mass. This year the Parish Festival will be on our parish ground. Please support donations to this year Fall Festival.
- Membership Administration ~ We are correcting the list of membership and will contact family for more corrected information such as email, phone and members in the family. Those who are bilingual and wish to help the parish this task please contact Fr. Thu Nguyen.

- Our parish will begin Holy Hour with Adoration for Vocations and the Diocesan Capital Campaign beginning September at 9AM every Friday. Come and pray for vocations and the unity of our Diocese.
